FINDING THE RIGHT LENSES
Our easy process helps you find the contact lenses you love
We know people approach contact lenses with varied experiences. It may be your first time using them. You may have eye conditions that make it difficult to wear contacts. Perhaps you may have been using them for decades and need a new prescription. Regardless, we’re here to help make it easy for you to find the right contact lenses that meet your unique needs.
Step 1 – Eye exam & lens fitting
Your eyes are unlike any others. That’s why we begin our contact lens process with a thorough eye exam. Afterwards, we give you a precise lens fitting to determine the contacts that work best for your eyes. If you’re a first-time contacts user, we like to schedule a follow-up visit to make sure everything is fitting properly so you can wear your contacts with confidence.
Step 2 – Trial pairs at home
After your initial appointment, you’ll be provided with a few recommended trial pairs of contact lenses to test out at home. We want to give you the flexibility you need to see which ones work best as you go about your daily life. Contact us if you have any questions during these trials.
Step 3 – Your lenses shipped directly to you
Once you decide on the contacts you like best, give us a call and we’ll ship your contact lenses directly to your home. If you prefer to pick them up, we can have your order prepared at our clinic as well.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often do I need to get new eyeglasses?
Various factors determine when you need new eyeglasses. Changes in your eyes, your lifestyle, or style preference are common reasons. We recommend visiting us at least once a year for a routine checkup, so we can help you determine if any changes need to be made. If you’re experiencing headaches or vision problems with your glasses, it’s best to consult us right away.
How can I prolong the life of my eyewear?
Always make sure to follow your optician’s instructions for properly caring for your eyewear. If you’re worried about damaging your glasses, select frames with spring hinges, allowing for more flexibility. Ask us to apply scratch-resistant coating to your lenses as well.
Should I purchase daily wear or extended wear contact lenses?
Several factors go into determining the types of contacts to wear: your eyes, any eye diseases you may have, and your lifestyle. Our eye doctors will ask you questions to help determine which lenses work best and give you several recommendations.
How old do you have to be to wear contacts?
We prescribe contact lenses for your whole family at Anchor Eye Center. There is no age minimum to wear contact lenses. We’ll walk with you to determine if wearing contact lenses is right for you or your loved ones.
